Profiling has become all the rage in the last few years, but it has also become an essential tool that can benefit any level skater. If you are looking to make a mechanical change to improve your acceleration, agility, speed, or stability, profiling is here to assist!

A blade's profile (also known as rocker or contour) is the shape or curvature of the skate blade lengthwise. All skate blades come with a profile from the factory, typically in a 9ft, 10ft or 11ft radius, but those can be inconsistent. A professional skate technician can set and maintain a baseline for your blades, and keep you skating consistently and confidently.

All new blades come with a profile direct from the factory, but not every set of blades is precise of consistent, or correct for your particular skating needs or technique. Setting a profile on a new pair of blades creates a baseline on which you can always rely, and to which you can always re-profile.

Maintaining Your Profile

Once you have selected and applied to your blades the profile that benefits your skating style, just like regular sharpening, it is imperative that periodically an expert performs maintenance on that profile. With regular sharpening, the shape of the profile will gradually degrade and will need to be reapplied. It is recommended that this maintenance occurs approximately every 6 month of consistent skating.

Base price for a pair of blades:

$50 (includes setup, smoothing, and sharpening)

+ $25 each additional pair, if same size and profile

Initial profile will require at least 60 minutes to complete, please allow 30 minutes for each additional pair. All profiles come with a 14 day free adjustment guarantee. It is my goal to help you dial in your blades, so that you are 100% happy with the results.
